Last November during our trip up to Portland, we took a day to visit some water at Cape Lookout. Cold beaches beat warm beaches any day.
We got out there just in time to watch the tide come up and a storm roll in - needless to say it was the best. We got thoroughly (and happily) soaked and sand covered before heading to a tiny pub to warm up.
