life

lately: August Reading

August started out way too hectic for me to get much reading done, but my top three this month might just be contenders for favorites of the year.

Top Three:
- Nightbitch, @raijoy
- Afterparties, @fakemaddoxjolie ( 😭)
- The Disasters, @mk_england

Highlights:
- 🎶 I got three looks, that’s it (spooky, nonfiction, short stories) 🎶
- Calling myself out for *still* having more books half started than finished

lately: July Reading

I didn’t read many things in July, but WOW there were some winners.

Top Three:
- This Is the Story of a Happy Marriage, @parnassusbooks
- Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke, @ejlarocca
- A Danger to Herself and Others, @alyssasheinmel

Highlights:
- I am in no way exaggerating when I say that I half started more books than I finished this month.
- Not totally converted to ebook life, but will admit to appreciating the convenience factor when it came to plane hopping.

video: Quarantine 2020

Nothing like a global pandemic and subsequent shut down to derail your last semester of grad school! One of my courses shifted the final video project into an opportunity to showcase the reality of life at the current moment in time. The difference just between March and May is wild to grasp, much less what the rest of the year will look like.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

lately: Moving (again)

I read something the other day about how the average person moves 11.7 times in their life. That sounds like a lot, but is pretty accurate based on my own life. Thanks to the size of Texas, I can’t even say that moving states has been the longest distance move I’ve made.
